Paris and the proposal

I notice that I told you about our honeymoon, but I did not tell you about our vacation in Paris and how I was proposed in marriage.
In September 2013 when we celebrated a year of relationship, we decided to leave for Christmas on holiday in Paris. Excited by the idea, we searched for air tickets the Wizz Air offer was the best for our two-week vacation in the most romantic place possible.
Time flew by and we woke up at the airport in Paris - Beauvais. A two-week holiday this year for Christmas costs around 4000 lei. The plane ticket is 1100 lei with hand luggage, and the accommodation on airbnb 3000 lei, a studio apartment in the surroundings of Paris.
We stayed in Egly with some friends, who have a beautiful house and a wonderful yard. Egly is a town near Paris. We bought a transport card so this was our main transportation from Egly to Paris. I will leave HERE the link to the modalities and costs of transport.
The capital of France is crossed by the Seine River and it is a beauty that I can hardly express in words. Intimacy, romance, love have their place here. Small streets and flirty, painters all over the place and plenty tourist spots to visit.
The first objective we visited was the Eiffel Tower where I was asked in marriage - what a wonderful time !!To celebrate this moment we walked and crossed the Seine to a place called Trocadero and sat on a beautiful terrace where we drank a glass of wine.
The other day we continued our journey to Pont des Invalides-Pont Alexandre III Musee d 'Orsay.
After we walked through Place de la Concorde we visited the Louvre and admired the famous painting of Leonardo da Vinci , Mona Lisa (Gioconda). After leaving the Louvre we headed to the Tuilleries, Palais Royal and Conciergerie Gardens.
Champs-Élysées is a major boulevard in the French capital and runs from Place de la Concorde to Place Charles de Gaulle, the location of Arc de Triomphe. With its cinemas, cafes, and luxury stores it is one of the most famous streets in the world.
I really liked the walk to Point Neuf, and the Notre Dame Cathedral is impressive.
The Monmartre district has a special charm, finding the highest area of Paris offering a magnificent panorama over the city. It is full of painters. You will definitely feel the bohemian atmosphere printed by the artists on the area. It is worth a walk on the picturesque streets in the evening. We visited here Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur Church and the Montmartre Cemetery.
The Latin Quarter houses the wonderful Sorbonne University, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens
and the Catacombs in Paris.
15 minutes from the gardens are the Montparnasse Tower and the Lafayette Galleries.

The city of Versailles is built at the will of King Louis XIV with the construction of the Palace of Versailles, his residence. The palace is impressive, it requires a whole day to visit this objective.
In the winter time the weather was cold, i suggest you to visit Paris in spring or summer time. We are planning another vacation there and a day trip to Disney also. Keep in touch!
